Effective Date: July 22, 2026
Galactic Gorilla Corps (“GGC”) is provided by SYNTHETIC REALITY SAC under the OSYRYS brand (“OSYRYS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you play GGC, use its online features, contact GGC support, or participate in official GGC community spaces.
This Policy is only for GGC. The general Syry website and Syry newsletter are separate from GGC and are not covered by this Policy.
1. Information We Handle
Depending on which GGC features are available and which ones you use, we may handle:
Features that are not enabled do not collect information through GGC.
- Account and platform information: Your Meta user ID and, if GGC retrieves it for an in-game feature, your Meta display name. We may also receive platform information made available to GGC, such as account entitlement or age category. Unity Authentication may create a separate player ID linked to your Meta account.
- Gameplay and account data: Progress, settings, loadouts, mission results, inventory, virtual currency, digital items, purchase or entitlement status, and records needed to address cheating, fraud, reports, suspensions, or bans.
- Multiplayer data: Room, region, session, connection, and matchmaking information; IP address and network performance; and gameplay state such as avatar position, head and hand movement, interactions, and mission activity. Real-time pose and session data is primarily used to make multiplayer work.
- Voice data: When voice chat is available and you turn on your microphone, Photon Voice transports your audio to players in the relevant voice channel. See Section 2 for important details.
- Technical data: Device and operating-system information, app and Unity versions, an installation-specific identifier, IP address, crash and exception reports, application-not-responding events, basic telemetry and configuration metadata, performance data, and security events.
- Support and safety information: If you contact us or submit a report, we receive what you provide, which may include your email address, Meta user ID, the reported player’s identifier, messages, screenshots, clips, attachments, and session details.
- Community information: If you interact with an official GGC Discord or social-media account, we may receive your platform username, public posts, messages, and anything else you choose to share there.
We do not need your email address to let you play GGC. Purchases are processed by Meta or another applicable platform; OSYRYS does not receive your full payment-card details.
2. Voice Chat and Future Safety Clips
Voice chat is a live part of the multiplayer experience. OSYRYS does not intentionally store the content of ordinary live voice after it has been transmitted. We do not create voiceprints or use voice for biometric identification or advertising.
Other players may hear, record, stream, or share what you say by using headset, platform, or external tools outside our control. Do not say anything in voice chat that you want to keep private, including your real name, address, school, precise location, phone number, passwords, or personal contact details.
We plan to add a safeguarding feature that may create short, temporary voice clips when a safety report is submitted or potential serious misconduct is detected. That feature is not enabled yet. Before enabling it, we will update this Policy to explain what triggers a clip, which safety provider receives it, whether automated or human review is used, and how long clips are kept.
3. Why We Use Information
We use information to:
- authenticate players and operate accounts;
- provide multiplayer, voice chat, progression, inventory, purchases, and other game features;
- keep sessions synchronized and connect players to an appropriate region or room;
- provide support and respond to safety reports;
- detect and address abuse, grooming, harassment, cheating, fraud, security incidents, and ban evasion;
- diagnose crashes, fix errors, balance the game, and improve performance; and
- protect players, OSYRYS, and the Services, and comply with valid legal obligations.
We do not sell GGC player information or use it for targeted advertising.
4. Who Processes Information
We disclose information only as needed for the purposes above:
- Meta provides the Quest platform, Meta accounts, store, payments, and platform safety tools.
- Unity provides the game engine and enabled Diagnostics, which may process installation identifiers, crash and exception reports, application-not-responding events, and related technical data. Unity Gaming Services is planned to provide player authentication and durable storage for progression, settings, loadouts, inventory, virtual currency, purchases, entitlements, and related game records.
- Photon is planned to provide multiplayer networking, room and session services, and live voice transport.
- Safety, support, hosting, and community providers may process reports, evidence, support messages, or technical data on our behalf. We will identify any voice-safety provider before sending voice clips to it.
- Authorities or other parties may receive relevant information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or security issues, protect someone from harm, or enforce our agreements.
This policy page is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may receive technical request data such as IP addresses and browser information. Meta, Unity, Photon, GitHub, Discord, and social-media platforms also handle information under their own privacy notices when they act independently.
5. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was handled:
- OSYRYS does not intentionally keep the content of ordinary live voice after transmission. Real-time pose data is not kept by OSYRYS after the session. A future, separately disclosed safety feature may create a short report clip.
- Account, progression, inventory, purchase, entitlement, and settings data may remain in Unity Gaming Services while the player account is active and until it is deleted under our retention process.
- Safety reports, enforcement records, and related identifiers may be kept after an account closes when reasonably needed to protect users, investigate serious misconduct, prevent ban evasion, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
- Support and community messages are kept as long as needed to answer the request, manage the community, or preserve a relevant safety record.
- Unity states that personal data in its current Diagnostics service is retained for 90 days by default, subject to our Unity configuration and any provider changes.
- Service providers may keep network, security, transaction, or platform records under their own retention rules.
6. Players Aged 13 and Older
GGC is intended only for players aged 13 or older. Players under 13 may not use GGC. If we learn that a player under 13 has used GGC or provided information to us, we may restrict the account and delete the information we control, except where a limited record is reasonably needed for safety or legal reasons.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review this Policy and supervise your use of GGC, including voice chat. Meta’s available family and parental-supervision tools may provide additional controls.
7. Your Choices and Requests
Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete information we control about you. Email hello@syry.io and include enough information for us to identify the relevant GGC account. We may need to verify that the request is yours.
Deleting account data may permanently remove progress, inventory, settings, or access to GGC features. A deletion request may not remove platform purchase records, information retained independently by a provider, or limited safety, fraud, transaction, dispute, or legal records that we reasonably need to keep.
You can turn off your microphone, leave a session, and use available mute, block, and report controls. Platform privacy and parental settings are managed through Meta.
8. Security and Changes
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we control. No online system or transmission method is completely secure.
We may update this Policy as GGC changes. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide an in-game or other appropriate notice before a material change takes effect. In particular, we will update this Policy before GGC or a provider acting for us records or retains voice, maintains a rolling voice buffer, transcribes or automatically analyzes voice, or creates safety clips.
