1. Information we handle
- Account information: When you use online features, we receive your app-specific Meta user ID, Meta username, and information confirming your access to Kloo.
- Gameplay information: Crossword progress, completion records, achievements, rewards, preferences, and character customization are saved on your headset. Your completed-crossword total is also used for the leaderboard.
- Movement and room information: Kloo processes headset, controller, and hand-tracking information to let you interact with the game. With your permission, it uses room layout and depth information for mixed-reality features. This information is processed on your headset and is not uploaded to OSYRYS. Kloo does not record camera images or movement histories.
- Technical information: Basic device and graphics information is stored locally to manage game performance.
- Support information: If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to share, such as messages, screenshots, or diagnostic information.
We do not receive your Meta password or full payment-card details. Kloo does not record your microphone.
2. How we use information
We use information to identify your player account, verify access to Kloo, save progress and preferences, display leaderboard results, provide mixed-reality interactions, maintain game performance, and respond to support or privacy requests.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
3. Leaderboard
Kloo uses Meta’s leaderboard service to associate your completed-crossword total with your player account. Your Meta username, completion total, and rank are visible to other players viewing the leaderboard.
Your crossword answers, room information, movement data, and character customization are not shared through the leaderboard.
4. Sharing and third-party services
Meta provides the Quest platform, account services, access verification, and leaderboard. Meta also handles information independently under the Meta Privacy Policy.
Service providers may process information on our behalf as needed to operate Kloo’s online features or handle support. We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process. Public leaderboard information is shared as described above.
5. Retention and security
Local progress and settings remain on your headset until overwritten or cleared. Leaderboard records are retained for as long as needed to provide the leaderboard, or until you request their deletion. Support information is kept only as long as needed to resolve your request and related follow-up.
We delete information we control when it is no longer needed or when you request deletion, unless applicable law requires retention. We will explain any such exception. Meta may retain independently held account or platform records under its own policies.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information we control. No device or online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your choices and requests
You can request access, correction, or deletion of Kloo information we control, free of charge and regardless of where you live. Email hello@syry.io with the subject “Kloo privacy request.” Include your Meta username or enough information to identify the relevant record. We may need to verify that the request is yours. Do not send passwords.
- Local progress: Clear Kloo’s app data through your headset’s storage settings. Resetting a single crossword does not erase all progress or rewards.
- Leaderboard records: Email us to request deletion. Clearing local app data does not automatically remove your leaderboard entry.
- Room access: You can decline or revoke spatial-data permission in your headset’s app-permission settings. Core crossword play remains available without room-aware features.
- Meta information: Manage your Meta account, platform privacy choices, and saved room setup through Meta’s settings. We cannot directly delete records held independently by Meta.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of your information, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data-protection authority.
7. Players aged 13 and older
Kloo is intended for players aged 13 or older. Children under 13 should not use Kloo. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete information we control without undue delay.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review this Policy with you.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date and provide an in-game or other appropriate notice before a material change to our data practices takes effect.
